March heralds the beginning of Autumn

Natures time to plant


Keep an eye out for lawn Grub activity. We now stock Grub Guard Ultimate turf insecticide.


Citrus Leaf miner is very active during late summer/autumn. Aphids, Scale and Caterpillars are creating havoc in the garden.


With the recent rainfall now is a perfect time to fertilize the lawn before winter. We recommend using Grassmaster Lawn Food.


Winter vegetables including Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Peas, Spinach and Snow Peas are all suitable for planting now.



Spring flowering annuals including Pansy, Violas, Primulas, Stocks, Sweet Peas and Poppy can all be planted now.

 

Roses will respond to a 1/3 prune and tidy, this will ensure a late Autumn display.
